Summer holidays always feel like a whirlwind don’t they? Between juggling work, kids, holidays, and family time I can honestly say this summer was one of the best and one of the trickiest.
For me it was all about balance. I wanted to make sure I was fully present with my children enjoying those long summer days while still keeping Need A VA ticking over. That is the beauty of running a business alongside family life. You learn to adapt prioritise and yes occasionally juggle a little chaotically.
A Summer of Memories
We headed off to Turkey for our main holiday. Sunshine food swimming pools and the chance to just stop. It was exactly the break we needed. Though now back in September it already feels like a distant memory.
We also had a week up north with my husband’s family. The weather could not have been more different. Absolutely freezing but we made the best of it. Days out family time and yes even the odd fight over screen time. It worked though. We got what we needed done and still managed to enjoy ourselves.
How I Kept Business Moving
I will be honest balancing a business through the summer holidays is not easy. But I practice what I preach. I handed my phone and laptop over to my VA. Trusting her meant I could actually switch off and enjoy those moments without constantly checking emails.
That is where a Virtual Assistant for emails scheduling or customer queries becomes invaluable. Whether you need admin help for business owners a social media VA to keep your online presence alive or even a WordPress virtual assistant to make sure your website updates are covered outsourcing allows you to step away without losing momentum.
This is exactly why I created Need A VA. A UK based directory designed to connect brilliant Virtual Assistants with the business owners who need them most.
September – Let’s Go!!
Now we are back in September and I absolutely love it. School routines football at the weekends and the chance to get back into a more consistent rhythm. After the buzz of summer it feels grounding.
For entrepreneurs September can be the perfect time to refocus. If you have been trying to figure out how to market your VA services grow your virtual assistant business or even get VA clients for the rest of the year joining a supportive space is key.
That is where Need A VA comes in. The directory is not just about listings it is also about community. You can join a VA directory connect with a VA networking community and even find a VA support group to share wins struggles and opportunities. It is also the place where business owners find the remote admin support they need to keep things running.
Did You Get a Break?
I would love to know did you manage a break this summer. Did you step away from your business or are you still figuring out how to make that possible
If you are a business owner the directory is full of VAs ready to support you from help with customer service to admin social media and beyond. And if you are a VA it is a space to promote virtual assistant services and even discover new UK VA jobs.
